Ribbon Cutting for New Day Peckinpaugh Lifeboat Exhibit

Please join us for the ribbon cutting of our brand-new Day Peckinpaugh Lifeboat Exhibit! The Peckinpaugh was an incredibly important & well-known boat on the Barge Canal which is now privately owned. Our volunteers lovingly restored the remaining lifeboat from this important vessel for you to visit. It will be displayed with artifacts from the DP as well as a beautiful mural of the Peckinpaugh painted by local artist Mark Noble & paid for through a donation from the West Genesee Class of 1975. Our new Power Along the Canal Exhibit and public boat rides will open after the ceremony. Come help us kick of the 2026 season with gusto!
